Programs

WAF upholds the visionary dream that LGBTQ+ young people belong in South Carolina, can live authentically, and have the power to disrupt the systems that oppress them. We cultivate affirming statewide programs and community initiatives for SC's LGBTQ+ young people up to the age of 24 focused on: (1) leadership development and social support; (2) health and wellness; and (3) movement building and advocacy. Through our programs— all at no cost to youth— we ensure young people can not only survive but also lead transformative efforts to create a more inclusive, equitable world.

WAF delivers life-saving programs that address the critical challenges LGBTQ+ youth face, providing safety, care, and access to essential resources. Our life-affirming programs are designed to empower youth to lead boldly, connect deeply, and drive transformative change in their communities.
